2010-The year gone by and me !

There is something in the air that compelled me to write this year-end summary.

-Quitting smoking was the biggest achievement of this year.Many people asked me this, Why did you quit,What made you to think about quitting.I chose not to answer this particular question.But My heart is seeking an answer from my mind.It’s not that I hate smoking,It’s not that my doctor called me to do so,Its not that someone special in my life told me to do so.Reason was simple but more important than above mentioned reasons.

First of all,By nature I love my self.Good,bad,ugly whatever I am..I love myself.People say its very tough to quit or many a times impossible so I challenged myself And believe me it was not that hard.Every time when I felt like starting again I reminded myself of that challenge. Is there any difference in my life after quitting ? Crap.. No ! Initial one month was tough after that I never felt a need of it and my daily routine is same as before minus those visits to smoking joint.

-Weight gain was an issue in this year too.89 Kgs ! When I saw some of my old photographs I wished to go back in time.Go back in era of 55 Kgs.Better Body Mass Index is going to be in wish list for coming year.

- Many times on this blog I wrote about having a conveyance that transports me from one place to another on my wish.May be this year I came an inch closer to achieve that.

- I’m not very sure if this has any major significance or not, however this is worth mentioning that I became one level up in professional hierarchy this year.Economic benefits that my current job gives is now pretty close to what I was getting two years back ! No regrets but sometimes this makes me to think.

- Swimming practice was on total halt this year.This brings another Item for wishlist-2011.There is so much to wish for !

- No new movie in theater,No new book read to finish this year.

Eagerly waiting for odd-numbered year.Wishing myself,my family and all my friends a wonderful year 2011.

Foriegn land and me ..

New delhi terminal 3 is awesome.How long it will remain that way I dont know but It was great ! I waited there for filght to Doha for two hours and time did pass really quickly.There were a lot of new things to watch at the airport.In a quick two and half hour I was at Doha airport.
From Doha to Washington it was 14 hours flight so I was little worried.what people do on that long flight.Do they simply sleep,Do they watch movies,Do they read books or what ? This was my first that long flight experince but I should admit it It was not that bad.probably because welther was good and there were no turbulances.I remember some 3 years back on a flight to London I had a very horrible experience because of those turbulances.
Reached and lost at Washington airport.It took me a while to realise that I need to claim my baggage and re check-in for my final destination.Once I managed to do that it took me a lot of time to find the Terminal C5 of washington airport.After a 2-3 minute walk and 1 min train ride I reached at terminal C5.Guess what ! I still had 1 hour before boarding to next flight.Quickly grabbed a cup of coffee and roamed around the terminal.It was soon time to board.This was a short distance flight so watched movie “Karate kid” ,Had Tea twice.Landed at SD airport at 8:00 PM.

And here comes the fun part.My baggage isnt been arrived at SD.Queried about it from UA personnel and lady was very supportive.She quickly found out the location of my baggage.Told me that It is held back at DC and will reach within 24 hours.She took my Hotel address.And after 24

hours I got my baggage with a $250 e -citificate. cool !

I am here on a foreign land for about two weeks now.Time zone is changed so are ways of working.Nothing special yet.Routine office to hotel and sometimes visit to nearby malls/beaches.

Missing India and my family there.

This post was written on 11th june-2010 however posted today.

Today was my Birthday.Whats the big deal.Its yet another day of life except 28 years back same day I was brought to this earth.Is this a good reason to make so much fuss about it.Is this the good reason to celebrate this particular day and not other days of life.Why not celebrate everyday of life -Celebrate that I am alive everyday.Cutting the cake,Having dinner at a posh restaurant with a nice wine in the candle night with your beloved ones.Distributing sweets on the occasion.Feeling special unnecessarily.If this the way to celebrate.I was not able to do the justice.

Stayed very late in the office.I was debugging a software Issue.Finally,Issue got resolved.Is this how I wanted to celebrate my birthday.This is arguable.

One more year has passed.I’m one more year closer to my death.Just two more years and I will be over aged to sit in Civil services examination.Just two more years and I will not be able to qualify for any government jobs except a few. This day is wake-up call for me.Time passes very quickly.You are far behind from where you you thought you would be.Trivialities of life has taken precedence over crucial.Decisions were not made right.You were not able to hit the nail.

Having said that,I Thank God and my parents that they have given me a chance to celebrate the life and not just one birth-day.welther I’m able to celebrate or not -That is a different question. I thank everyone who conveyed their wishes for me and I thank everyone who hasn’t conveyed any message of best wishes for the day to me however I know they always pray for me.

I received an email from the Horoscope site I admire .This email was the best gift of the day.

Chale the hum bhi,usi rah par,usi manzil ki aur ,uNhi hum-raheeyioN ke saath.Jin rahoN par chalne wale har ek rahee ki aankhoN mai ek chamak thee, aur awaz mai ek khanak thee.

Hum bhi kam na the,RukeNge nahi manzil pane se pahle itnee sanak toh hum mai bhi thee.

Manzil pane ki ummeed mai toot jana beech rahon mai, koi aur baat thee.Manzil se pahle bhatak jana, koi aur baat thee.

Manzil par pahunchkar tootna aur doosri manzil ki chah mai nikal jane ka paagalpan ,hum mai hee tha.

Magar kambakht aaz woh sanak,woh hunar,woh paagalpan… kho gaya hai kahiN.Woh sabera ummeedoN ka…so gaya hai kahiN.

Months back I wrote on this blog that ” Man by nature is selfish so they will forget what you did for them.Before they forget,You should become selfish and don’t give a hoot to world.”I wanted to follow this but It’s not that easy to follow.It requires courage.++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Sitting on a chair thinking about past few days.Smoke cloud is not visible outside in the dark.I can feel it inside.It’s causing a kind of sensation in my brain’s blood vessel that transports blood from brain to heart.They say it’s not good that you feel it.I say ,I must have done some good in former lifetime that I can feel it.They say It can cause harm to me.I say,The feeling which I have in brain’s veins,The sensation I am able to feel is because Nicotine is killing those harmful tissues.I know it ‘Cause It feels good.This can not be only Nicotine.I never felt this way.This has to be something else,I question.This is weired that sometimes you go into the state of Blank where you don’t know what you should think and what not.You listen Song repeatedly and that too Linkin Park – Breaking the Habit.Is it already 100 times I have replayed this song.Am I counting.Can not be 100.It is 103 now.

Relation-ship.

Relationship is exchange of energy between two souls.Relationship is a bond between two people.Success of a relationship depends on what kind of energy is exchanged when two souls interact.Relationships can be of many kind such as Parent-Child,Teacher-Student,Husband-Wife.

You have to question yourself to understand how your relationship with other person is and question is “What do I feel when I come in front of that person.” ? NOT What does he/she feel when you go in front of him/her.

Flow of energy is inside-out ,from you towards other person.If I am happy, chances are that people around me will also be happy. Negative energy flow can impact the relationship very badly.
